Hey everybody,

so, I got Nexplanon removed Monday after months of recurrent BV, starting November of 2022. I am hoping that improves off it among other things.

The thing is my doctor gave me differing instructions after the removal than anything I've seen online. I would just ask her, but she can be hard to reach, and I wanted to see what advice I could get here first.

She only had me keep the pressure bandage on 12 hours and told me I could take the steri strips off a couple days later. This makes me nervous; I am worried pulling the strips could somehow take off the scab or disrupt healing somehow. Everything i've seen has said either 3 to 5 days or 5 to 7 days? Posting this as of 8/24 after removal on 8/21.

I want to just follow the instructions she gave me, but I have bad health anxiety. Did anyone else get instructions like this and have it turn out fine? She always tends to act like stuff like this isn't a big deal and doesn't put notes down in mychart so I can remember everything exactly. My arm is still sore, and I have showered once but kept the strips on. Does anyone have guidance for me on this?
