My wife and I just purchased a 6 month old newfie. There are some things we wanted to ask people here some advice on things. Here is the list:
When we let her outside to go potty she will try and bite the tether. It seems like she does it because it gets in front of her, but also because it limits her in how far she can go. Any advice on how to stop the chewing would be helpful
When we take her outside to go potty, she will lay outside for about 15 mins, go potty, and then will lay outside forever if my wife and I would let her. Is there anyway to get her to see that outside is not just for laying outside? (We have no problem with letting her lay outside, but sometimes we can always let her lay for as long as she wants, and then we have a hard time getting her back in)
It seems for the most part she's good with listening unless she does not want to do something. When that happens she will lay there and ignore you.
These are the three biggest things we're trying to work on. Granted we have only had her for a week so we know it'll just take time, but any advice on how to deal with these things would be appreciated!
