Gotta love that customer service...
Post Body

Yup got my ryzen 2400g, msi tomahawk b350 and my tforce 2666 16 gb ram and was all excited to get it working. Come to find out that the ram I got is not the ram i ordered. IN FACT the packaging and the website order details have the right model numbers but the ram stick itself has a completely different model number. A model number mind you that they dont even carry on their website. The ram I ordered is on the compatibility list for the ryzen 2400g but the ram I got appearntly doesnt even exist but I was unware of this at first...

So fast forward through some trouble shooting and building I come to find that this ram will not post if in the dimma1 or dimma2 slots but will post in the b1 and b2 slots. Unfortunately the dual channels are a1 b1 and a2 b2. So I can have my 16gbs of ram except they wont run on dual channel so the speed of it is halfed to 1333 in every test I ran.

Fast forward again to customer service, at first I thought I got a bad board not knowing about the model number issue of the ram so I contacted them and asked to send me a replacement which they refused. They said there is no more in stock which I could clearly see on their website with the rep on the phone that it WAS in stock. I asked if they could exchange my board for another one and pay the difference and they refused. They would only offer me my money back and would not work with me at all. This is when I contacted MSI and found out about the compatibility full list for ram and I looked at my ram and the packaging of my ram and there were 2 different model numbers. I got the packaging I ordered but no the ram that was supposed to be in that packaging. So back to contacting newegg for their fuck up....

Round 2 of newegg support, this time I send them photos of the different numbers on the ram and the packaging itself. The RMA team says they will either offer me a refund which takes 2 weeks to process or I can send it back and after its process they will send me my new ones. Im thinking ok cool Lets do the exchange route. They say that they will send packaging for the old ram but will not send the new ram with it. I asked them to put a hold on my account or a charge for the new ram that they can take off after they recieve it and they completely refuse. So my options now are either A) Get a refund and wait two weeks before I can order a new one and then wait for it to get to me which is around 3 weeks total time or B) wait for their packaging to arrive, send these back, wait for them to recieve it, wait for them to process it, wait for them to find and ship my replacements, then wait for it arrive which in total is about 3 weeks as well...

This is the kinda shit you expect from some backwater trading site like ebay or second hand parts websites not fucking newegg... AND this isn't the first time. I have been building computers for years off their website I have been a premier member this entire time AND NOT ONCE has an order gone through that didn't have a doa of some kind, didn't have a wrong model issue, or wasn't literally snapped in half!!!(LITERALLY in two pieces I got a motherboard one time) This will be the final fucking time I order anything from newegg.

TLDR: FUCK NEW EGG. Go somewhere else. They are assholes who refuse to work with you on any issue regardless of how long or loyal of a customer you are.
