I bought a headset from a newegg 3rd party seller over a month ago. Great shipping speed....but I bought a new one and they sent me a beat up used one. Had filth on the ear pads and everything. Was disgusting. I spoke to newegg to get it sent back and they told me to wait a week for the seller to email them and me back. They did...19 days later saying they hadnt seen the email in time. While i was waiting for them to contact me back I went through hell with newegg customer service trying to get the item sent back and refunded. Its been over a month and they still wont give me my money back. I paid paypal and they are instead FINALLY sending me a check back...supposedly. Too bad this screws me over too because they are having a flash sale starting tomorrow and running for 2 days on an item Ive been saving up for for a while, a r9 290. I wont be able to get this of course because they still have my money in limbo. They wont give it back to me through paypal like I was promised. They are taking their sweet ass time in giving me my money back.
This is ridiculous. I want to give them MORE then the refunded amount on one of their sale items but they wont even extend the sale till after I get the money they were supposed to refund me weeks ago. I have shopped with newegg for well over a decade and have never been treated so poorly. At first i thought it was just the 3rd party seller who was trying to screw me but it seems newegg wants to screw me over just as much.
