This is mainly just a vent post as I know it's not 100% Neweggs fault. But I was able to purchase a 9800x3d that was originally supposed to be shipped out on Thursday arriving Friday. On Friday I see that the carrier UPS just received it that afternoon. Since they ups hasn't had any additional scans of the package outside of receiving it and that at this point they consider it lost but I need to contact the shipper to resolve any issues.
So I contact Newegg and am instructed to start a claim, a process which takes 2-5 business days estimated, and that if they determine the product is lost and do not have any in stock will issue me a refund.
This is super frustrating on multiple levels, as not only am I without a processor, if it's lost I will have to attempt to rebuy one once they have stock again. It seems like an oversight as there is not some sort of system in place, where they would give me the option to be shipped one when they receive their next stock.
Edit: broke up the giant wall of text
Edit 2: I woke up this morning to the cpu being delivered after 4ish days of no movement. I'm not sure if the Newegg claims team reached out to ups but apparently the package was suddenly found and in transit as of 4am this morning. I also appreciate the fact that Newegg support on here was so fast to reach out to see what they could do to remedy the issue.
