04 mustang gt throw out bearing

So recently while switching gears in my 04 mustang it has been having problems shifting smoothly sometimes my boy who owned the car before me told me it’s most likely because my mechanic put a aftermarket bearing instead of an oem bearing is this possible and where would be the best place to get a good oem bearing I’m also going to end up replacing the clutch in case it did a lot of damage to it so any suggestions on what parts to buy would be appreciated
