Not here to complain about the choice of shops, but the physical state of the street in general. It's a joke.
We've all noticed for a while it's dirty, but add the uneven pavement slabs, the amount of sections that are closed off resulting in bottlenecking, vape sticker covered bins, 417 deliveroo riders and graffiti, it's quickly become beyond an eyesore and now has entered embarrassment levels.
It's heightened by the amount of students that are back in Newcastle, increasing the footfall and making navigating the place a chore.
The fact it's taken the council well over a year to widen Grey St by 4 ft and install a few plant pots it's safe we're stuck with this for a good while.
