Areas for First Time Buyer
Post Body

Hi All, hope you’re all well. First time posting on Reddit.

I moved down here last year, have loved it, and will be looking to buy my first place soon.

I have literally zero knowledge of the property market here, having not come form Newcastle, and I wondered if there were any areas within a 15 min cycle of city centre which still represent good value for first time buyers, but which are safe to live?

I live in Heaton at the moment, just off chilly road. I love it there, but it seems to me that prices in that area have risen rapidly, and I don’t know if it’s now overpriced? I just want to avoid overpaying if at all possible.

Any thoughts/recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Byker and Walker are still quite affordable, there are some lush areas near parks and Ouseburn/Quayside but for like half the price.
