I have very bad pain near my groin area for months and my GP told me to get a self referral at TIMS. Just curious how are the wait times and the quality of service for TIMS before going ahead with them?
Had a rhomboid tear last year and wasn't happy with their treatment at all. Waited 3 weeks to be seen when pain was so bad I could barely move, painkillers on highest doses didn't do anything. I self-referred after being pinged back and forth between the walk in centre and my GP for 2 weeks, but didn't hear back about it so I called to ask if it went through and the lady on the line seemed annoyed and told me I'm lucky I'm getting seen so soon.
Got seen in Freeman, the consult lasted 10 minutes and I didn't feel listened to at all, once the guy determined I can move my arm (even though I said multiple times any movement brings a lot of pain), he gave me like 4 exercises and basically told me not to bother contacting them unless the pain was severe.
Ended up going to physio out of my own pocket because that was no help at all, needed weekly treatments for 2 months. It's been over a year and I still have problems with that area.
