Why are people rocking with the Jjjjounds but not the French Roast ?

Hype aside, I genuinely want to know why Jjjjound brown sneakers are loved by people while the French roast (clearly higher quality) are ignored ? Is it the different shade of brown, is it because it's leather and not suede or is it all hype ? Ps : I like both, but prefer the French Roast...
