Traveling in and out of Penn Station from Boston and spending M-F in East Rutherford. Suggestions? Advice? Warnings?

Post Body

My job will have me traveling to Jersey weekly for the next 3-4 months. I'm taking the Acela and have to get to East Rutherford on Monday and back to Penn Station Newark on Friday's.

This week I had someone from the local office pick me up, but would rather just cab or Uber to the office instead.

Just looking for any suggestions you kind folks may have for a visiting Bostonian. Other than NOT wearing any of my sport team's jerseys / hats, is there anything else I should know?

What sites should I see? During the week I do have access to a company vehicle so my nights are pretty much open. I have been hesitant to venture out this week due to a lack of knowledge of the area. Don't want to end up in the wrong place or neighborhood. Staying over by MetLife Stadium.

Good places to eat?

Any bars that are cool to just hang out for a couple of drinks?

Really, any thing you think I could/should do will be appreciated. Going to be a long 4 months sitting in this hotel room every night.

Thanks in advance!
