He is now 14 PA shy of the 206 PA for St. Lucie after which the Mets deemed enough for him to get promoted to AA. He has very solid peripherals, with his K% ranking between "average" and "above average" in quality by the Fangraphs guide, his BB% ranking between "above average" and "great", and his ISO ranking as "great". Among AA hitters with at least 150 PA his wRC ranks 7 out of 320. Despite concerns that his defense might hold him back, he's been using consistent play and a strong arm to largely erase doubts that his naturally poor range would cause him to be a defensive liability.
