There has to come a point where we no longer accept excuses for this kid. Every time he falls apart he seems to blame some ache or pain or blister, but I don't hear that bullshit from anyone else in the league.

Mejia has proven that he just gives up at some point after the 4th inning in almost every start, at which point he turns into a glorified pitching coach until he can be rescued by the bullpen. And yet without fail, the Mets send him out there every fifth day to amaze everyone for 4 innings and give Mets fans palpitations after that.

I know it's easy to be "caught up in the moment", but Mejia's performance issues have been excused every week, and we've been force-fed this shit about a pitcher with a lot of promise who just needs to figure it out. How many more wins will we throw away by giving another chance to a bullpen kid with dreams of starting? Enough is enough.
