WIN won last night, but OTT lost. So, big moment time - the Isles control their own destiny for 6th place.

If we win out, we are the 6th seed. We have the same number of games played as OTT, with 1 more point. We also have one more ROW. It'll go to the end of the season for that battle, but it's possible.

There's been some (correct) talk of ROW in the comments and how it could reduce our magic number to 2. Unfortunately, with the Jets winning last night, that makes it more difficult. We would need to win 2 games in regulation or overtime to tie their ROW (with them not winning another one before a shootout), but if we win those two games then we have clinched the playoffs ANYWAY, so ROW was made irrelevant last night.

We may be able to reach the 5 seed (although I think the 6 would be a better matchup for us) if we win out AND Toronto loses twice.
