First post was here. If there's continued interest, I will attempt to keep posting these, at least on weekday mornings through the playoffs.

After our win last night, we are still in 7th place, and still one point behind OTT. Our max possible is still 59. Unfortunately, both the Jets and NYR won, so we don't gain any real ground there; our magic number does decrease by our two points earned, however, to 6 (8 to secure the 7 seed).

Due to interest, here's where we stand with regards to the 5 and 6 seeds.

TOR has 4 games left and has 53 points. That gives them a max possible of 61 points. It is important to note, however that they have 24 ROW, whereas NYI only has 20. Therefore, a points tie will almost definitely go to TOR. In order for us to jump them, we would need them to lose (in regulation) at least 2 of their last 4.

OTT has 52 points with 5 games left, giving them a max possible of 62. At the moment, we have one more ROW so a points tie would go to us. We would need them to lose (in regulation) at least 2 of their last 5 games in order to jump them.
