Just going to drop this in here and bail, since if I spend any more time online after that it will kill me. This SUCKED. But yet it’s nothing we didn’t already know. We’re not ready. We faced a carolina team at the height of its power, and we got schooled. I wish it had been less brutal a collapse, but I think now we all see why Carolina is a Cup favorite.

The good thing about making the playoffs this year is that it gives Roy and the other younger guys more of a taste of the playoffs and what it means to be a championship caliber team. Consider that we weren’t even supposed to be here. All of this is just a bonus. We all knew next year would be the one to watch. The first full season of Roy, coupled with some roster improvements.

Maybe we can stage a comeback. After all, we have made a habit of strange circumstances before. But in the (extremely high) likelihood we don’t, we at least had some joy and showed a whole lot of fight and didn’t allow our season to go quietly into the night. Maybe, even in defeat, we could drag the Canes down with us.

Whatever happens - let’s hope for the best. I’ll still be watching Game 3. And we all have to be thrilled that there will be at least two more playoff games at UBS than we imagined possible. LGI
