That was a rough game. I drove out to Tampa and was there for it.
It felt like a lot of stupid mistakes on defense - including letting lightning players get behind us to take the puck to the net.
They were faster, played with more intensity, and tried harder. My 8 year old called it - the Islanders did not play like a team fighting for a playoff spot tonight.
It was great to see so many isles jerseys, shirts, and hats though. You could hear the let's go Islanders cheers throughout the arena.
