Hey!
So, I recently did my first stream on youtube. It was a pretty great experience, and had a really fun small community vibe to it, only 8 people at it's peak, but everyone was chatting and having a great time. I really enjoyed myself.
So, as soon as the stream was done, it gets uploaded as a video, and I make it unlisted, adding it to a public playlist, so that anyone who wants to go back and see it can, but it doesn't clutter up my channel with a long, messy, low quality video.
HOWEVER. The next day the Analytics comes in and this video has, in a single day, gained more watch time, likes, and comments than any other video this month, (in spite of getting about 10% of the total views of my other most viewed videos in the past month).
These seem like good numbers from an Algorithm standpoint, even if the video itself ISN'T a good introduction to my channel.
So, this brings me to the question: Should I leave the video up so as to encourage growth, or take it down for the sake of my channel's appearance?
UPDATE: I've put the stream back up! I plan on doing more as soon as I get the chance!
