Hi There!
So, I've been on youtube for a good seven years, and I've always struggled to find 'the balance'. I've had a couple of times where I've pushed my channel, and actually seen a minor bit of growth. Most of the growth, however, has been by meeting people in real life, who subscribe to my channel.
Whenever I've been pushing, however, I've always ended up making content that is SO BLAND. I can't help it. If I 'take myself seriously', the content that I make can't be experimental.
Similarly, when I don't take myself seriously, I make some experimental stuff, but nothing really polished. It's less bland, but more unwatchable and unfinished.
I HOPE that I've just managed to find this balance in the past couple of weeks. I plan on putting out videos that are experimental, but honed. That's the hope. It's still a side project for me, though now I can give it a little more time, as I'm working freelance (inbetween jobs) and not in full time education any more.
It seems to be working, though! One of my videos was spotlighted in TenEighty magazine recently, so that's pretty cool.
I might leave a link to my channel in the comments? (or maybe not...) I'm not sure what's allowed here. but ANYWAY: Hi! I'm new! Love me! Advise me!
