Hey everyone, I have a question for the group, and despite the title, this is not a fair use question; it's a process question.
I use other people's content in my videos (gameplay footage mostly) and the only reliable way that I've found to download and use it is to go to World of Longplays, download it in a weird format, convert it to a usable format, and then cut what I need. I figure there has to be an easier way, especially since there are so many reaction channels that use footage that's just on YouTube.
So my question is this: How do I pull footage from an existing YouTube video without violating YouTube's community guidelines in a manner that's defensible with Fair Use?
