Just wanted to share a little victory (maybe more for the really really new people).
I just started my channel this month... trying for roughly a video a week (am just posting my 5th tonight). I started out doing short true crime episodes (inspired by my wife who pretty much has true crime podcasts and episodes running in the background all day).
I thought to myself recently... i love reading and researching. I like writing and feel I am somewhat decent at scripts... and well i like to play around with video editing as a hobby. So why not take a stab at making some content.
Put my first three videos up in rather quick order. No real impact. A few watches (mostly by people i know that are friends)...only about 100ish impressions per video.
So for my 4th video, i thought you know what. What i really love is horror movie characters... so screw it. I'm gonna start some "(not so) True Crime" episodes of some of my favorite horror movie characters. Made the first one about Jason (Friday the 13th)...and boom. 2k impressions, hundred plus views and a few subscribers in just a couple of days. Much improved over my first frw videos ---- and super fun to make too in my opinion.
Anyway... I am not under any illusion that I am going to make a living doing this. But its fun for me... and fun to see the little analytic inprovements.
If you are into horror and want to give ne some tips...a critique... or just any general comments, please do so.
And thanks for the support of this community!!!
