I am writing this because i really WANT to throw myself into trying this whole shtick out, mostly as just a fun hobby at first, but I am so stuck.
How do I edit videos? How do i do that WELL? How do I know what I want to do, is any of this worth it, will it ever work out, and titularly, am I just doomed to fail from the start?
Every probability and calculation of popularity, start-ups and etc. I have run or looked into has come back as any attempt at even STARTING to learn the topics mentioned above will result in nothing but failure. The way I generally approach things is that if there is not a 95-100% guaranteed chance of success, it is not worth doing.
I just feel like i have no true clue what I am doing or where to begin, and ultimately I feel basically zero idea TO begin because I feel as if it will never go anywhere. What are y'all's thoughts though?
I am also entering my senior year of university and I feel like if I (20M) do not have a financial career by 2026, then I am a lazy failure of a person.
If you only want to do things with a 95-100% chance of success, that’s not YouTube. Everyone throws out different stats, but it’s something like 0.001% of YouTubers ever get monetized. Who knows how much lower the percent is that makes a decent amount.
I just got monetized and made $0.93 yesterday, but I’m thrilled because I just started posting because it brings me joy. The benefit is that it’s growing too, but if you only start posting thinking about being monetized, it’ll be a difficult and depressing slog
