Does creating short that is not in line with Long form videos hurts your views?

I had a monetizing channel about coloring page for kids as my long form video. It gains around 2-4k per video. But when I started posting shorts about color mixing and other form of arts and craft, my long form hardly get to 1k. You think its because of my shorts? Btw my shorts makes it to 5k-10k. Every suggestion is welcome.
