I told someone my plans one night were to just relax and edit some videos. When they asked what the videos were for, I said I had a YouTube channel and they immediately looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my eyes and ears … I just turned 27.
Personally, I don’t think ANYONE is “too old” to start a YouTube channel (or any business for that matter), especially if it’s something they’re passionate about. I DO think there are some niche’s that are a little more cringey than others once you get to a certain age, but at the end of the day, to each their own. For context, I have a great day-to-day job that I love and that pays the bills - my gaming channel is just something I’m passionate about and would love to make a full time gig (as most creators would).
For those with a channel, have you ever worried about “missing the bus” so-to-speak when it came to starting your YouTube channel? Or for the viewers, do you think the age of the creator can be a deterrent from the content itself? Would love to hear your thoughts!
No watch Mr Pete, he retired from his job and started teaching machining to people on youtube for free. Theres no one out there who’s too old to share good ideas and insight.
