Hello!
My dad is starting a small YouTube channel for documenting some of his travels. He wants to share it with family, so he has linked it. However, for some reason, no matter who uses the link, it directs you to the desktop version of YouTube, which results in a lot of issues when using your phone. For instance, I clicked the link sent to me in Messenger and it either just opened it as a desktop site in the Messenger browser, or it made an infinite loop between redirecting me to the YouTube app and then back to the browser version.
Whenever I try to look it up, I only find people talking about not having enabled a setting on YouTube’s app. But that’s a local problem, and this seems to be global as it affects everyone using the link.
It’s very frustrating, as he is putting a lot of work into his videos and now can’t share them. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a solution?
Thanks in advance.
