Want weapon skins purely for cosmetic purposes - does the grade matter?

Hey guys,
Not new to TF2 but new to TF2 trading and stuff. I'm wanting to buy some weapon skins off scrap.tf but I notice there's an ascending order of weapon grades. Do the grades mean anything? Is it worth it getting a similarly cosmetic weapon if its available for cheaper in a lower grade?
Would appreciate any advice :)
