Struggling with Reading Assignments

Does anyone else find the textbook incredibly hard to read? I find I get more information out of the lectures and am really struggling with reading. I’m not sure if it’s the dryness of the material, or just the sheer amount of incredibly minute details. I can tell I’m definitely going to have to really study my pathophysiology because I just barely passed a review quiz on it. The material in the book is really hard to retain.
