Got in crash while transporting patient?
Post Body

So was transporting a patient (priority 1) to the ER. As I was driving along a straight road, while on lights and siren, a car pulled out from the left side and cut me off. I was going about 30-35 miles per hour at the time, I hit the brakes but couldn't brake in time and the front left of my ambulance hit the car's mid right side. I then pulled over checked with partner in the back of the ambulance if everything is okay and what to do (medic has about 20 years of experience). He said notify 911 dispatch and keep going which I did. (note I work for a private Ems company with a 911 contract with the town)

Now I am curious is there something else I should have done or been aware of in this instance?
