How to preserve body getting back into skating at 27?

Skaters who are 30 skating quite regularly, how do you preserve your body yo continue to skate? I haven't skated in about 7 years and bought a board last wednesday. I do actively weight train 4-5 days a week, ride a bicycle, and do stretching/minor yoga 4-5 days a week. I'm wondering what either precautions all of you take that I could take? I dont think my knees will love me so much down the road. Maybe wear a knee brace while skating? Any tips would be great, thank you and it feels great to be back shredding!!
