Using sick days for baby?

Post Body
With flu/RSV/cold season coming up and our little one going to daycare soon - just wondering how other parents go about using their paid sick time (if you have it). Are you honest and say your kid is sick and have to stay home? Or do you say you’re not feeling well?
I know each company has different policies and I don’t owe my company an explanation unless I’m taking more than 3 days in a row.
I’m in Canada if that makes any difference. Sorry to those who don’t have paid sick time.
