Breaking Cycle of Overtired Newborn??

Hi! My 4 week old took very few and very short naps today and I suspect she’s overtired. For the last few hours she has been fussy, only calming when I breastfeed her for a few minutes, but then she will fall asleep in my arms and wake up again when I set her down, which starts the whole cycle over. Should I just let her sleep an hour or so in my arms to break this cycle? Any tips?
