Hey-o! Calling all WFH mom/parentsā what is your schedule like?
Just curious as to how your day looks balancing a kiddo and a job? How to you split up your time? How old is your kiddo? Were there any āchallengingā ages?
Iām currently working full time from home (my company was 100% remote before covid) and balancing taking care of our 4 month old. I love being able to balance both but it takes major time management skills, so just hearing how other people handle both might offer some great tips to try out.
Thanks yāall š
My babe is now almost 10 months. Went back to work FT from home when she was 4 months. It took 6 weeks to get a good schedule. Schedule is currently:
6am-up for the day (first bottle, dishes, independent play, Mama's shower, breakfast, ready for work) 8am-log onto work 8-8:309-9:30-10-1st nap return emails, phone calls 10-1pm-independent play for her, give snacks, food etc. Try to return calls/emails/attend meetings 1-1:302:30-3pm-2nd nap (return calls/emails/attend meetings/clean up the house/exercise if caught up on work) 3-4pm- little work as possible. Return any urgent phone calls/emails 4-6:30pm-play/house work/make dinner/bath and bedtime routine
Rinse and repeat lol my hubby is home and helps out but she's a stage 5 clinger so even with working a lot is left to me. I find most people don't mind hearing a baby in the background. If she's fussy I have a chair beside my work station and that she can sit in or I will hold her during a call. Cannot stress having enough snacks lol now that she's older. Cheerios and goldfish usually placate her until I can finish what I am doing. Also giving random objects to play with works too.
