What funny, silly, or unique nicknames do you have for your baby/child?

Post Body

As I am laying in bed trying to get my baby to fall asleep in the bassinet next to me (and man is she fighting it tonight), I started thinking about the nicknames we have for our baby. We sometimes call her “baby”, “honey”, “sweetie” and all the usual ones, but by fair, what we call her most is smoosh (kinda like smush). This is because my fiancé started saying she was a smushy cuddly baby. Then he started calling her “smooshy smusherton” (no idea where he got that). Eventually it went to “smoosh” for short. I occasionally call her “squeaks” because she makes a squeaking noise in her sleep, and because she’s a pipsqueak. While I was pregnant, I never in a million years would have thought these would be her nicknames.

It got me wondering what funny, silly or unique nicknames everyone else might have for their babies or kids. I’d love to hear your nicknames and their origin stories!

I call my son googy or googies or my personal favorite: gahgwoo. He's 3 months and most of what he says are g sounds like that and I tend to repeat back whatever he's saying so 😂

Anyway, the nonsense sounding nicknames are the best ones :)

That is so great LMAO! Long live the googies!
