So my friend moved to New Orleans a few months ago. She suffers from depression and pretty acute apathy, and so really struggles with seeking help, and so I thought I would do a little research on her behalf and see what her options for healthcare might be.
She's uninsured and makes too much money to qualify for medicaid, and I've had a cursory look on healthcare.gov but I'm from the UK so it was a little confusing. Is it too late to apply for healthcare for 2019?
Also, if anyone has any reccommendations for where someone might be able to see a therapist in the New Orleans area without having insurance, or any mental health charities who do pro-bono work, that would be greatly appreciated
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong sub for this question.
Thanks :)
