"Are we going to be okay?" Sarah asks quietly, tugging on her mothers living arm. The Doctor glances down, wiping an ice-cream mark from her own nose. She thinks for a moment.

"How do you mean?"

The hustle and bustle of the waterfront of New York is always an interesting experience. The boardwalk creaks slightly, minutely, under the weight of the people walking across. Arrietty takes another mouthly of the food and waits for an answer.

"Well... We came under attack from Aliens. And then Shadows. And then Symbiotes... You got hurt by that Goblin."

"Pfft.." Arrietty mutters, remembering the Goblin. "He was a pushover."

"Still..." The small girl continued. "We seem to be under attack more and more."

Arrietty paused, smiling a little as she looked down. In German she spoke quietly to the girl, dipping into her native language.

"You are my child, and I will protect you at all cost. I'm the one that needs to be worried anyway, not you."

The girl nodded, and went back to eating her ice-cream as they continued to move along the boardwalk.
