Alright, there’s been a lot going on about Reddit and the third party apps.

To summarize, r/NewJerseyNSFW strives to make sure this community is completely free from sellers, scammers, pic collectors, minors, and promoters. We’ve also added auto mod that keeps them out. So the easiest way to see your post is if you verify with us and it’s important that you have karma, don’t use karma4karma subreddits or anything like that, that’s what the spammers use. We’ve managed to clean up more than 90% of the spam that was posted. I also have to give credit to my moderators as well. Third party apps helps us a lot. They help us find spammers and if Reddit gets rid of it, this community will return to the status when I took over as a moderator, so it’s very important that we protest.

Anyways, We’ve decided to go dark in protest against Reddit’s API changes which kill 3rd party apps, it will be a temporary protest but we’re willing to protest for longer. That means r/NewJerseyNSFW will be set for private for those days. User choice is very important for our communities. /u/why_subs_went_dark is an account ran by organizers of this movement. They have all the links we can use in order to help them save 3rd party apps and keep these scammers in the dark from ruining NSFW communities.
