Pharmaceutical Employee - Should I consider NJMMP
Post Body

Hi All- Just looking for some direction.

I have limited experience with Marijuana, I smoked a bit in my 20's, but nothing since. I've been suffering from bouts of high anxiety that lead to repeated instances of insomnia due to night terrors. My psychologist and I have talked about a few options: a Benzodiazepine, Trazadone ( Anti-depressant/ Sedative), and Medical Marijuana. I have an addictive personality, and I want to stay away from strong medication, so MM is looking like my best option

My main concern with opting for this choice was my company's policy ( If you work in any place that manages Controlled Substances, you cannot use anything recreationally), but after talking to my onsite DEA associate; He stated as long as I have the prescription, it should be fine. That being the case, I feel I have the green light, but I want to know how you all may have informed your employer if you had too.

Another issue I am facing is that my PCP retired during the COVID shutdown without telling anyone. How do I approach a brand new physician who knows nothing about me with this? I don't want them to say no on the account that they may believe I'm only after this for recreational use.

Thank you for any advice you may give me.
