The community is growing! We’ve just passed our 10,000th member milestone. That’s pretty significant even if many of them are bots and or spammer accounts.

Now with that being said, we have noticed an increase in real activity over the past few months, and with that an increase in bots and spammers. We quietly introduced a new account screening feature back in February which has vastly improved our ability to catch spammers and other bad actors before you even see them. I hope these changes have gone noticed by the regulars who have been around awhile. It’s rare that they slip through, and unless I’m super busy I’m usually pretty quick to catch them. Also, I depend on the community to flag things that are missed by the screening feature. So keep up the great work those of you who use the reporting feature.

For the longest time as a mod, I’ve been trying to moderate accounts, posts and comments using rules language that mismatched. I’ve just recently fixed that. You should be able to review the rules now and see what is removable and bannable. It boils down to: don’t be an asshole and don’t solicit your shit.

Also, I want to put another call out for moderators. I’d like to have at least 2 more mods on the staff. If this interests you, send me a DM.
