It's been a while since I played

Hey guys, it has been a good while sense I played and I'm trying my best to get back into the groove. For nostalgic feeling I went to Charthraxis to fight him because there used to be just groups of people but all I see is bones. Is he not a world event anymore? (I started a new character does that effect anything?)
