So a (29F)friend and (31M)I recently went through really rough divorces at the same time. She moved out to Nevada, met a guy and seems so much happier. We met in Charleston, SC, where I live now. We talk a lot on the phone, so I’ve become friends with the guy too.

There are a lot of painful memories here, and I feel like a need a fresh start. I have friends out there, so I’m really considering it.

This is all assuming I can get the accommodation to go from hybrid to fully remote at work.

What do you guys think? Any advice? I’m from SC, so I’m not a stranger to the heat or anything.

My family want me to move back to my hometown in Columbia, SC, but I feel like I wouldn’t grow there. I need brand new surroundings.
