I found this interesting, mainly because I did not expect a marked rise in military actions from a new President who seemed interested in distinguishing his foreign policy from that of his predecessor. For whatever reason, Republican policy always seemed a bit more "hawkish" but I am now starting to think that the increase has nothing to do with partisan policy but with the improved drone technology.
My questions for discussion:
Why have drone strikes increased so dramatically? Is it simply a consequence of a more advanced world or is the increase politically motivated?
Are drone strikes a partisan issue?
Will "drone policy" change given the current geopolitical climate?
