Post Body

So I’ve got time off coming up and I told a friend he could join me on a trip to Yosemite. I have planned things out already and know what I want to do. He asked if he could stay the week before the trip and visit the city I’m in and I said yes. After booking his flight, he asked me if a friend of his could join and I feel trapped and anxious. I don’t want him to think I don’t trust his judgement in people and I don’t want to be rude, but the idea of this other person joining us, especially during my trip to Yosemite, is stressing me out. Is this normal? Should I chill out? I don’t know how to communicate to him all this without sounding crazy…or am I crazy? I don’t want to have to mask myself at all and with a new person I feel like that’s all I’ll be focused on and it will be a horrible and tiring vacation. Any thoughts, fellow autists? Is it just me or is this something that would overwhelm you too? And how would you handle it?
