I need help with a really annoying problem

I recently downloaded the Cory wing plugin, and am playing on my fender John Mayer strat, all tone nobs at ten, and all of the clean sounds that are supposed to be bright sparkly and funky, sound really bassy dark and muffled. This is really annoying for me as this was the entire reason I bought it, for those awesome clean tones.
If someone could please help me figure this out Iād really appreciate it š
