Hypothetically I'm running data dealer and see a Shi.Kyu in archives. I want the -1 agenda so I can turn it into money.
When the Runner accesses Shi.Kyu, you may pay $X. The Runner must take either X net damage or add Shi.Kyu to his or her score area as an agenda worth -1 agenda points. Ignore this ability if the Runner accesses Shi.Kyu from R&D
So, I run archives and access Shi.Kyu. The corp knows what I'm trying and so doesn't choose a value for X, because that is optional. Can I then intentionally take the -1 agenda or is that part of the trap void?
Edit: Turns out I can steal it.
We're discussing things on twitter because he seems to disagree with his initial interpretation. Damn nuanced rulings.
