My dad got a Netflix trial to watch a specific show so we're all along for the ride!
I love comedies, particularly fun and happy ones like Parks and Rec- I watch for escape so I don't want to have to deal with awkwardness or drama. (I don't really like The Office- not my kind of humor.) I've been watching Schitt's Creek and love it- it started kind of rough but it definitely has the sweet vibe that I love so much. I've also loved 30 Rock, Pushing Daisies, and Frasier, and have liked (but not loved) B99. I started The Good Place and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt a while back but can't decide whether to continue with them. I did NOT like The IT Crowd.
Basically, I want comedy, and either a) characters I care about who grow and develop and love each other or b) 30 Rock constant hilarity, in which case I can forgive the fact that I hate everyone except Liz and Kenneth. Minimal drama, but a bit is okay if it generally ends well and is happy. Characters who are by and large good people, even if it takes a while for them to get there. Parks and Rec round two- I think in some ways it may be my platonic ideal of a contemporary TV series.
I'm also interested in recommendations for relatively short limited series, in which case I'm open to non-comedic suggestions- I love Russian Doll and Season 1 of Broadchurch.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I decided to keep watching The Good Place- I just finished Season 1, and while I was mostly spoiled on the twist (from being a person on the internet in the last couple of years), I still am absolutely loving it! I can't wait to keep going!
