I’m new to the Node backend works so have gone with NestJS as I’m an Angular dev, I’ve followed a couple of Udemy courses and both use TypeOrm to interact with the database so I’ve gone with that to connect to my MySQL database. It’s great for reasonably simple data structures but I’m finding it hard to deal with relationships that spread across several tables
Is it essential to use something like typeorm our is there an easy way to freeform it with the database so I have the freedom I need to build precise an unopinioned day’s relationships?
Example. A product can have multiple product detail rows. Each product detail row can have many product variants of which have many product variant options. This ends up being a Json structure with a lot of nested objects which I’m finding hard to extract exactly as needed with typeorm.
