Just moved into a new house, brought my gen3 Nest. I don’t care for the ecobee that is here. I figured the swap would be easy because I made the switch without a hitch at my former home.
I took a photo before starting…the Ecobee worked fine with the five wires connected. Also in the wall are a beige wire and a blue wire. They were not used in the Ecobee.

Probably blew the circuit board fuse in your air handler/furnace.
You'll want to see if you can find it and check it.
