Old Stampede ECS Bipod-grip not attaching properly?

Post Body

Hey guys! Just had a quick question. So back in 2010 I had gotten a Stampede ECS as a gift from my parents, I was 10 at the time, and just today I found an Icon Stampede at Target for 50% off. (There was one more left!) So, seeing how the Icon Stampede doesn't come with a Bipod I figured I'd fetch my old one, but then I remembered a problem mine has: it's very very loose.

See, when I was a kid and I only had like 3 big Nerf blasters, I actually had them all displayed on my shelf, which of course Includes my stampede, which was of course held up with the Bipod. Because of that the Bipod became very weak at the attachment point and is very loose. Attaching it to any tac rail doesn't work because not only is there so much wobble to it, but even barely gripping it will send it flying off the rail. Which really sucks since it's meant to be a grip.

So, I figured I would open it and see if I could tighten the attachment points but to no avail as removing all the screws still doesn't allow it to open. So, I'm really stumped on what to do next as I really want this grip to work but I also don't want to go spend 10$ on a new one from eBay, although I may end up needing to do that anyway.

Any suggestions?
