First felting attempt; Kit Kitty

First time needle felting. I did it from a kit that unfortunately didn't tell you how to felt, just 'make this, put that here' etc. So I mostly just winged it. I'm happy with it considering I had no clue what I was doing. My main issues, as always, were proportion, stress about over or under felting (since I have no idea what either looks like) and I particularly had trouble felting on the lines.
I also had trouble making him 3D and he got squashed and I had to bulk him out, but my second project I've been doing better with that.
He ended up as a long cat, but that's ok, for a first attempt I felt it was pretty nice! Any advice appreciated.
