First of all, this sub makes me feel ancient! But that's okie dokie.

Well, like the title suggests I'm looking for someone willing to take their time and lay down a solid foundation for a true friendship. As old-fashioned (more old talk!) as it sounds I think maybe an email a day or so for a long time is a great way to start things out. Maybe I'm weird, but I think immediately texting/messaging each other a hundred times a day right from the start just inevitably leads to burn out. While the relationship may burn incredibly bright, it sizzles out before it can gain any real traction. Once a super duper strong friendship has been secured maybe then we can move on from emails?

Soooo, if you're still with me I can now spout some nonsense about myself!

I'm a stay at home dad in the Midwest. I really really really...really...love running, biking, hiking, working out...pretty much whatever works up a nice sweat! I recently ran my first actual genuine race. It was fun, but I couldn't sleep for days leading up to it I was so nervous! So, maybe I'll wait about a year before another race and stick to the solo runs haha

I am pretty dorky. I collect 80s/90s toys, NES/SNES games, and VHS tapes. I actually have about 31 separate collections, but those are my mains. I have a problem, I know!

Ideally, I'd like to recreate my own 90s mom and pop video rental store someday! I've got lots of tapes but lack the shelving, and that sweet 90s neon carpeting!

I love baking. Currently have an apple crumble in the oven.

I'm 420 friendly, enjoy doodling stupid crap, and am crazy fond of Halloween. I get all giddy as Halloween season approaches (just two months until Halloween stuff starts hitting the shelves again!), and watch 31 horror movies every October.

Stupid jokes, hatred of blue M&Ms, preference for the cold over the heat, never been able to decide what's my favorite color, no tattoos but likes to daydream of potential designs I'll never get, and lover of lemon-flavored stuff but hater of grape-flavored stuff, are some more random facts about moi.

So..."hit me up" as the youngins say. Maybe? Possibly? Potentially? Groovy.
